My name is Karl and I am a photographer based in Dublin.
The story of photography for me has been about capturing the world and its transience in a most immediate and honest fashion. This began many years ago with reflections of nostalgia and a search for the next fleeting moment. Now more than ever, this search has shown the weight of time and the emotion it can instill in an image. In this way, I aim to explore scenes filled with depth and feeling, allowing viewers to connect personally and recount their own memories.
Much of this work has manifested into an intimate portrayal of people, musicians, and crowds celebrating culture, artistry, and music. The success and admiration of the photos has blossomed into photo zines, publications, online prints, and a solo exhibition.
